Ensure you have the Hardware category ticked and any other required Categories.
Labour category must be enabled if labour costing for hardware items is required.
To illustrate the pricing in the following 3 tutorials, we will enable Use Labour Time/Rates option for the hardware items used on a Floor 2 Door cabinet and price.
Floor 2 Door Hardware for Labour pricing
In this tutorial we will enable Labour pricing for the accessory, Adjustable Legs, costed in the Pricing Hardware tutorial.
Open the Hardware Manager by clicking on the corresponding Form button.
Select the hardware item using the drop list, which in this example is Adjustable Legs.
Test the results by running a Quantities By Category report, as shown.
The calculation of processing time is the number of items i.e. 4 legs multiplied by 10 minutes = 40 minutes
The calculation is hourly cost of $12.00 divided by 60 minutes multiplied by 40 minutes.
Therefore the labour cost of this part would be $8.00

In this tutorial we will enable Labour pricing for the handles costed in the Pricing Handles tutorial.
On the Price page enter Labour cost details.
Click Next, then Save and Finish.

In this tutorial we will enable Labour pricing for the Hinges costed in the Pricing Hinges tutorial.
Open the Hinge Editor by clicking on the Hinge Editor button.
You need to do this for both Hinge and Plate in the Hinge Set
(1) On the Pricing page, select your Hinge.
- Tick Use Labour Time/Rates to enable labour pricing
- In the Labour Time edit box, type in the estimated quantity of time it will take to process this task in minutes.
- Type in 10.00mn
- In the Labour Rate edit box, type in the cost rate of performing this task in this time.
- Type in $10.00
- Click Save and Apply.
(2) On the Pricing page, select your Plate.
- Tick Use Labour Time/Rates to enable labour pricing
- In the Labour Time edit box, type in the estimated quantity of time it will take to process this task in minutes.
- Type in 10.00mn
- In the Labour Rate edit box, type in the cost rate of performing this task in this time.
- Type in $5.00
- Click Save and Apply (or OK to close).
Test the results by running a Quantities By Category report, as shown.
The calculation of processing time is the number of items i.e. 4 hinge plates multiplied by 10 minutes = 40 minutes
The calculation is hourly cost of $5.00 divided by 60 minutes multiplied by 40 minutes.
