In this topic we will discuss the Display > SideBar Layout page and the Display > SideBar Customisation page which allows you to customise the colours of the sidebar buttons. For a detailed discussion on how the Sidebar works, see the topic on the Properties Sidebar.
On the Display > SideBar Layout page you can set up the four (4) available Sidebar Slots for both the Drawing and Cabinet.

If you want a consistent set of details for the Drawing SideBar, then it would be best to set these in the Catalog, which of course can be turned off/on in the Drawing Properties.

The report module allows you to quickly run your selection of frequently accessed reports by pressing any of the four (4) customised buttons for both (or either) the Cabinet and Drawing level. Therefore this should be set up in the Catalog Properties and overridden in the Drawing if required.
To customise, simply click on the required button.
This will open up a browser to the Report folder where you can identify and select the report required - click to view.
These reports can be customised using the options on the pages of the Reports category of theCatalog/Drawing Properties.
After selection, the required reports will be displayed on the buttons in the Catalog Properties and the corresponding buttons on the applicable SideBar. These reports can be changed for each job if required.
This example shows four reports selected in the Catalog Properties using the Browser discussed above i.e. the Report\File Folder\Report file.rdl
These reports can then be quickly and easily be run from the Drawing SideBar using the corresponding Reports buttons.

The Cabinet SideBar allows you to run the selected report for either the selected cabinet, using the Cabinet Report radio button, or all cabinets on the drawing, using the Drawing Report radio button, as shown below.
The colour of the move buttons can be customised by...
- pressing the relevant Cabinet / Page Move Button Colour option.
- This will launch a colour picker dialog,
- Select your preference from the colour picker and click OK.
- A preview of the newly selected colour will display on the right.
As shown in the above example, the sidebar Cabinet Move buttons will be displayed as red and the sidebar Page Move buttons will be displayed in blue.
