The Mach.Tongue > Back/Front page of the Catalog/Drawing Properties provides the positioning of the groove (or tongue) used on Backs and Fronts.
Three sets of variables are used, one each for Floor, Wall and Tall cabinets. These specify how Ends (and Divisions) connect to the Backs and Fronts.
The Gap on bottom end of Back/Front Tongues only option allows the tongue to be one sided. This is something usually done on narrow parts to ensure passage through the edge banding.
Example
The Always continue groove to top check box is only made available when the Gap option is enabled. Enabling this option makes the groove terminate at the top of the End.
Example
The Dist In edit box states the Gap between the end points of intersection between Back / Top (or Bottom) and the start of groove for the Back/Front in the Top (or Bottom).
Top and Bottom check boxes provide the ability to specify whether the Tops and Bottoms fix to the backs using Tongue and Groove. Default is ON. When OFF there will be no Tongue and Groove join between Tops and Backs or Bottoms and Backs, as selected.
Example
Gap between the top point of intersection between Back / End and the start of groove for the Back/Front in the End.
Gap between the bottom point of intersection between Back / End and the start of groove for the Back/Front in the End, as shown.
