    In This Topic

The Construction Standard > Ends page of the Catalog/Drawing Properties sets the construction for cabinet ends.

    Example on an End

The ends are the sides of the cabinet. In the illustration, the right end has been surrounded by a border.

The Ends page poses a question for each type of cabinet i.e. how do you construct your ends? Are they :-

    Default Height of End

Default Heights are automatically recalculated as boxes are checked. The default heights of each cabinet group can be changed for each job/drawing on the Job Setup > Defaults page.

    Floor Cabinets

These options provide the ability to control the construction of ends for Floor cabinets.

Select the relevant options to :-

    • Extend to Floor
    • Extend to Floor and Below Top
    • Above Bottom
    • Above Bottom and Below Top
    • Below Top

If you selected to have a Rail set to On Edge  (see Construction Standard > Top/Rail page) you will NOT be able to have the ‘Ends Below’ the Top/Rail. If you have selected this earlier, CabMaster will automatically turn this selection back to the default.

    Kickboard Standard - Cabinet Ends

The Ends page for Kickboards Standard allows for the ends to made full depth. When selected, the back kickboard will be recessed the selected distance. The example shows ‘Right’ recessed to 150mm.

    Tall Cabinets

These options provide the ability to control the construction of ends for Tall cabinets.

These are the same as Floor cabinets but provide independent control.

Select the relevant ends options to :-

    • Extend to Floor
    • Extend to Floor and Below Top
    • Above Bottom
    • Above Bottom and Below Top
    • Below Top

    Wall Cabinets

These options provide the ability to control the construction of ends for Wall cabinets.

Select the relevant ends options to :-

    • Above Bottom
    • Below Top
    • Above Bottom and Below Top

    Mullions

The default width of the mullion is set here.

Mullions are the partial divisions that are added as an extra surface to hinge a door, whenever there is not a carcass end or full division to attach the door to.

The mullion width, if the cabinet has a mullion, can be overridden at Cabinet level on the Labour & Construction > Construction page.

Setting the position and how the mullions are machined are done on the Mach. Shelf/Mullion > Mullions page.
