Drawer Runner Table Filter
In This Topic
Runners can be accessed in the / Properties on the Hardware > Drawers page.
To reduce the long list of Drawer runner tables to a manageable size for selection purposes, you can...
- divide up the drawer runner tables into sub-folders in <your CabMaster>\Table folder.
- This allows you to then use the related Property page drop lists.
and/or
- by filtering the list based on the runner set.
- This is a list of runners, along with a depth at which they are to be used.
- The 'depth' relates to the available drawer depth within the cabinet.
When applied to a cabinet, CabMaster will select the correct runner for the
internal space available taking into account any necessary gaps.
Sub Folders
For these to work, the runners need to be put into subfolders. Edit buttons are provided to Edit Runners allowing you to manage overrides of runner properties.
Newly created tables or distributed tables are always placed in sub-folders to keep each manufacturer together.
Users are free to move these around, use a subset of what is distributed or even rename them. In this case Filters may be of greater use as discussed below.
- The example below shows Standard Runners in the Table/DrawerRunners folder, has 10 subfolders.
- These can accessed by clicking on the corresponding Edit button, as shown, which allows you to manage overrides of runner properties using a Form.
Hardware > Drawers page - Click to Expand
- These same folders are displayed in the drop list on the related Properties dialog, click on image for example.
These folders are displayed in drop list - Click to Expand
Filters
Filters allow the selection of folders and/or a name and are located at Catalog/Drawing levels under the Hardware category on ...
- the Drawers page and click on relevant Runner button.
- In the following example we will be opening the Standard Runners Properties dialog.
Hardware > Drawers page
The drop list selection is a typeable field, i.e. you can simply type in the description and not use the drop list . This means that you can blank it out and thereby have no sub-folder.
and/or
- the Drawer Filters page
- useful if subfolders are not used, i.e. a long list of runners can be filtered by name.
Folder Selection
First you need to tick the Override Set check box and select the Folder that you want to filter.
- The following example we have selected the Hettich folder.
- The drop list shows that Hettich runners come in 25-50kg but only 35kg runners are required.
All Hettich runners displayed in drop list
Use of Filter
- We will use Filter to reduce the list to show only runners with *35 in description.
- The result of the filter will not become evident until you use the drop list select, discussed next.
You must use an asterisk (*) to search for a string of characters i.e. to filter your search for runners that are 25kg enter *25
Filter used to display only runners that are 35kg
- As you can see the list has been reduced from seven (7) to only three (3) runners which meet the filter criteria.
The Edit (purple) button/s made available can be used to edit the Runner Properties - see discussion on Using the Runner Editor.
If a Folder or Filter is used in the / level properties then you will only be presented with this limited range when making your selection at level.
