    TG Machining Bottom
    In This Topic

The Mach.TongueBottom page of the Catalog/Drawing Properties provides the positioning of the groove (or tongue) used on Bottoms.

Three sets of variables are used, one each for Floor, Wall and Tall cabinets. These specify how Ends (and Divisions) connect to the Bottoms.

    Gap

The Gap on front end of Bottom Tongues only option allows the tongue to be one sided – this is something usually done on narrow parts to ensure passage through the edge banding machine (similar setting as in Back section).

    Example

    Groove to Back

Enabling the Always continue groove to back option makes the groove terminate at the back of the End. (Similar setting as in Back section).

    Allow T&G

Enabling the Allow T&G from Top Face option allows a Tongue and Groove from top face of Bottom.

    Front / Back Dist

Applicable for Floor, Wall and Tall cabinets, with one set of variables provided for each (Floor shown).

Front Dist is the Gap between the front intersection between Top / End (or Division) and the start of groove for the Top in the End (or Division).

Back Dist is the Gap between the back intersection between Top / End (or Division) and the start of groove for the Top in the End (or Division).

    Use Alt when

Alternate settings for Front / Back Dist option above when Bottom is < the specified depth.
