The Construction Standard > Shelves page of the Catalog/Drawing Properties determines whether or not shelves are adjustable.
Corner and Angled cabinets are treated as separate categories but the options discussed in this topic are applicable for both.
These defaults can be changed at cabinet level. See topic on Corner Cabinets.
Construction Angled > Shelves page
Additional Shelf Settings are available at cabinet level e.g. the Style of shelf. (Click on image to view)
Construction Corner > Shelves page
Different settings are available for the different Cabinet Types i.e. Floor, Wall and Tall.
The question to answer for each type is whether or not the shelves are Adjustable (ticked) or Fixed (unticked).
The recess refers to the gap between the shelf and the front of the cabinet.
The gap refers to the distance allowed between the shelf and the cabinet ends, allowing the shelves to move within the cabinet.
This only applies to Adjustable shelves.
The edit box allows you to set the gap so the program knows how many shelves can fit within a given height.
Cabinet Overrides
Shelf quantities can be overridden at cabinet level on the following pages :-
Cabinet Details > Options page
The Quantity, Recess and type of shelving can be changed per cabinet.
Some cabinets allow custom shelf gaps.
Labour & Construction > Shelves page
Enable Use Custom Shelf Gaps to make the edit boxes available, the number of which is determined by the settings on the Options page.
