The Mach.General > Text Format page in the Catalog/Drawing Properties options allows the text on machined parts to be customised at drawing level.
This is specifically useful to customers with a machine on which they can write the text to the board and require different information to the default (DXF file name).
Important: Customers wanting to use the text to write on the board would be advised to use the single stroke font output, which requires the following registry setting i.e. MachineVectorFont=1
This is the default setting and allows only the Text Size to be amended.
In this example, the format of the text is as per the Sample above i.e. Job number-Cabinet Id-Part Name
The number in brackets is a unique number identifying this component (i.e. this DXF) in the drawing. It is made up from :-
- cabinet id (073)
- followed by VSectionId (0=main here, or 1=extension)
- followed by HSectionId (22 in this case)
- followed by ComponentId (01 in this case)
This allows you to customise the format of the text which can consist of up to 6 fields separated by chosen delimiters.
In this example, the format of the text is as per the Sample above i.e. #Job number(Cabinet Id)Part Name
The Text Size was increased to 5.
